The Adventures of Heronimous Verdi
by Adrian Harris & Michelle Preston

In the northern seaside town of Shag Sands Heronimous Verdi, the north's first trans-gendered private detective, and his best friend police sergeant Debbie Daring attempt to track down missing local floozy Sandra Carpenter with nothing more to go on than a pink chiffon scarf with some mysterious numbers written on its tag.

The mystery hots up with the arrival of femme fatale and cheesy eighties style nightclub singer Kristy Charpentier, who happens to work for mafia boss, whippet fancier and owner of Caesar's Plaice fish restaurant Don Spittalucci. Kristy's after the scarf too and is willing to pay anything for its return.

Along the way Heronimous uncovers evidence of blackmail, extortion and possibly murder and all these tangled threads culminate in an explosive finale resulting in the tragic end to a local landmark.

The five 15 minute episodes were produced in Bristol by Papercut Productions and directed by Adrian Harris.

The cast includes Adrian Harris, Sarah Cunliffe, Jacqueline Jordan, Gerard Cooke, Clive Linthorne, Shane Morgan, Stephanie Weston, Jon Preece and Michelle Preston.

Broadcast on BCFM 93.2fm or listen online at www.bcfm.org.uk from Monday 28th July at 4.30pm and repeated every Tuesday at 10.30am.
